It's starting to get warm here and between my DH who runs really hot and me (post partum and nursing) we are way too hot with our current comforter! I am thinking of switching ours out for a lightweight one with a thin cover (our duvet is also heavy).

Does anyone have a brand/store that they would recommend?

Thanks!

Ikea has a lot of different kinds of them - warmer to cooler.

IKEA definitely has the biggest selection I've seen...and great prices.

A quick fix is to take the duvet cover off. I notice when the duvet cover is in the laundry or I'm too lazy to put it back on immediately, it's much cooler without it. The Company Store has great bedding at reasonable prices.

For 15 years I have slept with Company Store down comforters without a cover. They are machine washable.

And...you can get a lightweight one if you wish. I love their color choices and need to order them for the DC soon. One day, we'll all be out of sleepsacks and grobags (gasp!)

Company store comforters are the best. Anything else will leak feathers and make your bedroom a dusty mess. It's just not worth it to go cheaper.

:yeahthat: Great blanket, even when not on sale. I've had mine for a long time and it machine washes well and doesn't leak feathers. http://www.target.com/Woolrich-Down-Blanket/dp/B001S5P1RS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&keywords=woolrich%20down%20blanket&fromGsearch=true&sr=1-3&qid=1306548039&rh=&searchRank=target104545&id=Woolrich%20Down%20Blanket&node=1038576|1287991011&searchSize=30&searchPage=1&searchNodeID=1038576|1287991011&searchBinNameList=subjectbin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_ primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&frombrowse=0
