Summer sandal options for pre-walker DS?

We live in NorCal where our standard temperature is in the mid-60s, so my 7 month old DS has spent the last few months wearing Hanna mocs when we'd take him outside. Now that we are entering the summer months, it's too warm for the mocs. He is not walking yet obviously, but spends a lot of time standing and is starting to pull himself up to a standing position. Should I buy him some sandals--if so, any specific recommendations for this age? I don't like taking him out in socks because his feet frequently come into contact with many different surfaces and he always manages to kick his socks off. TIA!

I like that they have a closed toe/full foot protection, but also allow for ventilation. They were actually the only shoes he had at the time, so we used them w/ & w/o socks, depending on how cold it was.

Btw, this is last year's style/color, so this was the only site I could find it at. They have a similar style this year, but only comes in solid black or solid navy.

Any idea if 6-9 months fits true to size? If he is 7 months old now and I want him to wear the sandals this summer, should I go with 6-9 months?

Hmmm, that's a tough one--I'm not sure if you should go with 6-9 or 9-12. Our son's bday is 9/29, he wore the 9-12 from about June through October (I remember it was pretty warm Sept/Oct here, and he was still wearing them). Then in Nov he went into the Hanna mocs size 2-4, which he grew out of a month ago.
