I have both of these from Shoebuy and cannot decide which is the winner.

Birkenstock Mayari in silver (http://www.shoebuy.com/birkenstock-mayari-birko-flor/298930)

Birkenstock Sydney in silver (http://www.shoebuy.com/birkenstock-sydney-birko-flor/298939/638960)

Which one is more comfy? Are you able to handle the toe thing OK? If so, I think the first is a little prettier, to the extent that Birks are ever pretty. But silver Birks can be cool too. So keep whichever one fits you better.

I like the first one but the silver is nice too. The toe thing would likely bug me.

No help I know

I have a pair that goes around the toe, similar to that, and they are my favorite because they stay on my skinny feet better. Choose whichever is more comfortable. Birks rock!

I have a pair similar to the mayari and love them. Very verstatile. Mine are a black nubuck-like material.

I think the first pair is cuter, but wouldn't be able to tolerate the toe thing (I can't even wear thong-style flip-flops).

They both fit fine. The sydney style seems to run a tad big and bigger is always more comfy, right? They're a bit floppier, but I suppose tightening would help. The toe thing is a "meh" item, but since my other two shoes are Chacos with a to thing and Merrells (http://www.onlineshoes.com/womens-merrell-sundial-cross-pf_id28058) with a toe thing I suppose a nicely constructed toe thing doesn't kill me.

Ok, ran down to the neighbor's house to get a real live girly girl's opinion. She said the Mayari should be the keeper b/c it could be casual or dressier, it is less "silver" to look at, and it looks more feminine.

Before i went, I tightened the arch straps of both shoes one more notch. Wow, I cannot even FEEL there is a toe thing now, because the top strap holds the shoe on my foot so well. These are going to be awesome!

BTW, the Sydney with the Birko-Flor at shoebuy must be mis-priced. It is $114 there whereas on Nordstrom, etc. they are only $79. Shoebuy usually has good prices and even better coupon codes IME. I got the others for 20% off, another 10% off for the member discount and another 10% back from ebates. Not bad!

Tough call. I have the sydney, and like them. I sort of like the black ones you linked a little better though (color/style combo).
