No poll, just throw it out there. How many people are you washing for and what kind of machine you have.

I think DH does 3 loads early in the week and 4 loads later, although I could be wrong. So...7 loads for 5 people and we have the Duet FLs. Not sure how full he makes the loads. I'm just the sorter and folder.

We have a bosch front loader, washing for 6 people, cloth diapers, kitchen cloth plus towels and sheets. Comes out to about 9 loads per week minimum.

2 loads for the girls each week (one lights, one darks), which I do on the weekends. For the adults...umm...we let ours pile up until it basically becomes an emergency...

We have a frontloader.

4 people. Usually about 4 or 5 loads per week. Frontloader.

But, if you want to count how many total loads of laundry I do per week, it's probably more like close to 40 or 50 in two top loaders and a commercial dryer. That's for our business though.

4 ppl (2 adults, 2 babies). i would guess about 7-8 loads per week. Cloth diapers & wipes make up 3-4 of those (we do diaper laundry every other day), then kids clothing/bedding another 1-2 loads per week, and maybe our laundry another 2 loads.

eta: we have a HE machine but it is one of those rare ones that is not a front loader.

Hard to say--there are weeks we do none and weeks we do 4. We live in a condo and have easy access to 12 large front loaders. So we tend to let the baskets fill up and then run a bunch of loads at once. This is for 2 adults & 1 baby.

Three people. Five loads in large front loader in an average week. (One whites, one darks, one sheets, one towels...and usually something else.) At least one more in the summer because DD swims so often so there are bathing suits and beach towels.

One thing that makes a difference for us - neither DD nor I dress up (at ALL) for work, so all of our work clothes are laundered rather than dry cleaned.

5 people; probably 10 average loads in a front loader. No cloth diapers, but lots of towels and swimsuits this time of year, plus stinky workout clothes.

Five people. Top loader. 7-10 loads per week.

This time of year it's at the higher end of the spectrum since we go through a lot of towels due to swimming and more frequent showers. While the bath towels can be reused, the beach/pool towels tend to get dragged by the kids across the decks or sand and wind up full of dirt/grit/chlorine/salt.

We also tend to change clothes more often (playing outside, getting dirty and sweaty) but the clothes are smaller (short sleeve tees and shorts as opposed to heavier tops and jeans so they take up less space, so I guess that kind of evens out.

We have a decent size upright, 4 people, 7-8 loads a week at least. We use all cloth napkins, tons of rags and I use mama cloth which adds extra laundry.

4 people 5 to 7 loads a week (we use cloth for cleaning and for faces, ie almost no paper towels but we do use TP etc and no cloth diapers anymore). Top loader, pretty large loads. Our poor dryer is 30 years old and does not appreciate them!

3 people, LG front loader, 11 - 15 loads a week, 3 of which are cloth diapers/wipes, and another 3 are cloth bibs/towels/napkins. DH's socks and our bed quilt get washed every 2 - 3 weeks. DD's bumpers and toys/miscellaneous baby items get washed once a month.

5 people, in the throes of mastering the art of toileting for two of them. 11 loads a week or more, including cloth napkins (new ones at every meal) and kitchen towels. We have a Maytag HE top loader, no agitator.

4 people, XL top-loader, probably 4-5 loads per week (usually all done on the weekends), but more in summer because of pool towels.

I forgot about pool towels. This week we went four times to the pool/splash pad. That is really going to up our washing machine action.

I average about 3 loads per day, 7days/week. I dont' have a high efficiency washer (we are renting right now) but I do use Seventh Generation detergent and never bleach. If I have to use so much water, at least I'm not poluting it with toxic chemicals (unless there are some in the clothing themselves).

I probably do 6-8 loads a week depending on when the towels and sheets get thrown in. I have 5 in my family and we have LG front loading washer/dryer.
