View Full Version : Stupid Barber

I am so sad. My 2 year old DS's hair was getting really poofy on top, so I asked my brother to take him to the barber nearby to get it trimmed with scissors.

Well, I get home yesterday and he has a freaking buzz cut. Barely any hair left. He looks like he is ready to enlist in the Army.

I am furious. My brother says he tried to instruct the barber to just cut a bit and the guy just started buzzing him ON THE FRONT right away, so there was no going back.

My cute 2 year old now looks like he should be in Fight Club.

It saddens me and pi$$es me off beyond belief.

I feel like calling the barber and telling him off. I also want to blast him on yelp. :(

Oh, that's awful! I understand your grief, I would be pi$$ed too.

Bad haircuts are so frustrating whether for ourselves or DC. Maybe it'll be a bit cooler for him during the summer heat as it grows out.

 That stinks. Be glad you can blame it on someone else. I did it myself to my fair-haired 18 month old right before DS2 was born. He looked ridiculous, but fortunately, his thick and poofy hair came right back, eventually. Now I'm especially careful!

Bad haircuts just stink  But it will grow up and he will be nice and cool in this summer heat.

Aww, poor you and poor DS  I totally understand, I would be crushed and po'd beyond belief if I came home and my little one had a buzz cut. My bro and the barber would never hear the end of it!

Agravating, but at least it will grow back (hopefully soon!).

I know it's no biggie and I will get over it. I just wanted to strangle that barber and vent here. ;)

They grow up fast enough - I hate losing any "baby" time I have left. I would wait forever to cut DS hair if DH would let me!

So maddening. At least it should grow back pretty quickly, I hope!

Well, nothing could keep your kiddo from looking cute as a button, a buzz cut included. BUT I would be fuming too if the barber buzzed my kid.

Thank you all. His new look is growing on me. I was so shocked at first!

If you are looking for a new place, I have had good luck with the Kidsnips at Edens Plaza. I take DD there but DS goes to another place:

http://www.rockhairscissors.com/rock_hair_scissors/Welcome.html

The prices are basically the same as Kidsnips but it is smaller and has a lot less stuff to buy. There is also a great ice cream shop a couple blocks east:

It is expensive but worth it!

Aww, that would make me sad too. DS hasn't had a haircut yet, he was bald as can be for so long. Now he has the cutest curls which I know will disappear with haircut #1, so I have been putting it off as long as possible!!
