We have two parties this weekend, one a 7 yo boy who asked for first an Ipad 2 :rolleye0014: then the 3rd Lego Star Wars game (around $40). This is a neighbor, I'm not spending that much on him. His family spends around $10 on gift for DC so I want to stay in that range. Any ideas of a cheaper Wii game (up to $15 or so) or another idea that he might like. His sister is also having her birthday this weekend and she doesn't want anything she said (she's a lot nicer ;)) I did get her to say she likes arts and crafts so if you have a kit that has been a hit with you DD please let me know, again I would like to stay under $15. Other ideas would also be welcome.
Thanks for the advice.

a book? My 7yo son loves this book and we've given it to friends for bdays and a few times the mom has called me special to tell me how much their child loved it. The story is funny, and teaches them about the elements of comics/cartooning and gives easy and encouraging directions for doing it on their own.

I usually pair it with smencils and a drawing pad.

edited to add a few more "book" ideas.

mad libs are popular with my son and his friends.

probably too late, but target/wm has $15 and under SW lego sets, or get him a gc so he can have $ toward the game, or beyblades...they are always a hit with that age group.

I actually got one of those $12 SW Lego sets and DH said he didn't appreciate it. He wanted cash I guess :rolleye0014:

Thanks so much for replying. :)

We recently gave a 7yo boy a Beyblade and a Hexbug, he was happy!

8yo girl, maybe a craft kit or real drawing supplies from Michaels.

An apple gift card for $10. Will come in handy when someone gets him that Ipad. ;)
