HA sizing issue

I just got DD this skirt:

I got it in 110. DD is a solid 110. She is 4, 43ish inches and 44 lbs. She tried the skirt on and told me it was tight in the waist. It's long. I think a 120 would be way way to big. Anyone have this skirt? Does it just run tight in the waist?

You know, sometimes I find that items left around at the end of the season (like on the EOS sale or at the outlets) are left around b/c they ran small, ran big or whatever. I've gotten burned a few times like that, and ended up returning them if we haven't worn them already. Soooo annoying. We didn't get that skirt so I can't tell you about it specifically. Sorry.

I bought that one for DD, but I haven't tried it on her yet. I'll try it on tomorrow and let you know.

I think 120 would be so long as to be impractical. I would either ask Hanna to exchange it for another 110 that's less tight, to go by WtG's theory. In truth, I suspect this may be an item that won't work for your DD because of the proportions of the skirt.

That is what I was thinking. Also, normally the stuff I put on her is loose (only b/c she is bigger in the hips and I tend to size up), so something that actually fits her may feel tight. I still have the skirt and have not returned it (still deciding).

Hmm, my DD has that same skirt in 120 and it fits her just fine. DD is a solid size 120: 5 years, 46 lbs and 47 inches. It is a long skirt, but DD is a tall girl, so length is not an issue. The skirt looks adorable with cowboy (girl) boots, BTW! Sounds to me like your particular skirt runs smaller in the waist than it should.

DD is 43 inches and 44 lbs and right now in a solid 110 (at age 4). 120 is way big on her. I decided to keep the skirt as I think it's an issue of getting used to a waistband that actually sits on her waist.

The one I got for DD seems to fit fine, too - maybe a little tighter than some of her other hannas in that size.
