I'm begging for someone to just tell me what to get. I've spent so much time researching, and I don't think I am any closer to a decision. Im really going nuts thinking about it. Quick story: I have 2 year old twins, one with Mitochondrial Disease. He's little (31 inches, 21 pounds) so I'm not ready for a wheelchair. New would be best because of the infection risk. Here are the requirements:

the best push possible (mainly carpet)
Under $150
Some recline
Basket underneath must be decent
I would like the option of adding a board to the back for his brother

Can someone choose for me?

I would say a Mac Quest. This is the lowest price I could find for a new one.

Or a Cybex Onyx would be nice.

Either one should be compatible with a Valco Hitchhiker. I just think a stroller w/a footrest would make your DS more comfortable too.

i would say baby jogger city mini with the new glider board that just came out- seat will have plenty of growing room for your son. will be around $300 with the board though. the peg perego pliko p3 is really nice and full featured classic style stroller with a built in toddler step on the back....you can find tons on CL or buy one online (last year or later model) for around $150-$200 new. gl!

If basket size/accessibility is important & you go the Mac route I'd say Triumph over Quest: the recline mechanism is different on the Triumph and allows for much easier access to the basket. IMO the Quest basket is a total PITA to access.

The baby jogger city mini might be a good option because I would imagine the slightly bigger tires would be easier to push in carpet.

Not sure how a p3 would do in carpet but it has a built-in board and is pretty close to your price point:

They go even cheaper on CL.

Lots of good suggestions above but I just wanted to say that many kids aren't ready for a board until they're 3+, so if that's essential getting one of the strollers that it's easier for him to stand/sit on might change your priorities a bit.

how about a P&T? the smaller child would have a long time in the bottom seat...and by the time he out grows it, i bet the larger twin will be able to walk. its easy to push and has a high weight limit, so would be a nice wheel chair replacement for a while.
