Hi, all. 5 year-old (almost 6) s is going to summer camp, and the dept of health won't let the counselors apply sunblock--the kids have to do it themselves.

What's the best (safest ingredients, easy to put on, covers well, etc) sunscreen stick for kids? Affordable would be nice, but I mostly just want to make sure my kiddo can put it on himself and have it work.

Thanks!

Not sure how he feels about carrying around a pink stick (maybe you can cover it with stickers?)...but this one gets a 3 on the ewg site.

I like it because it's wider and gives more coverage per swipe.

Oh and I am LMAO at the irony that the dept of health won't allow counselors to apply sunscreen.

We have the Purple Prarie Sunstuff stick. It is very well rated as a sunscreen and we use the regular lotion version too.

us too. I'm really happy with purple prairie-- the stick isn't too thick, or too waxy.

Where's the best place for the Purple Prairie? We have the pink neutrogena stuff, and it goes pretty fast when you use it for the body.

Has anyone tried the badger stick? http://www.amazon.com/Badger-Natural-Season-Sunscreen-Unscented/dp/B003II0R7M/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1308188303&sr=8-6
It's a 1 on EWG.
