will a quilt work on a daybed?

we are planning to put two twin beds in dd's room, one for her and one for a guest or maybe ds on occasion. i am considering one regular twin and then a twin daybed, so it is more like a couch, and more sit-able. so will a quilt work well with a daybed? any types of daybeds work better with quilts? i suppose i could wrap the quilt around the mattress at the very least, right???

My dd has a daybed with a quilt and it works fine. It's tucked in on the backside and one end and looks fine. :)

I would buy an ex long twin to make sure you can tuck it around both ends.
