Now my 5 yr old DD1 is asking for crocs to match her baby sister. She is in a size 12 shoe in Umis and Skechers, with a little room to grow. Should I get the Crocs 10/11 or 12/13? I know they run big, and I'm worried about her tripping if they're huge on her - but I need these for Aug-Oct so I dont want her to outgrow them either. Im looking at the classic Crocs. Thanks for any advice!

My big kid is on the next scale up so I don't think it helps much. He wears a size 3 shoe and a size 3 croc.

You really need to try them on.

Yep, I think you're right! So much for my plan to buy online. Thanks, ladies!

FWIW, DD#1 wore 12/13 Crocs when she was in size 12 shoes (including Umis). I'd order online, but pick a site with free returns, just in case!

We were just there tonight trying with my 5yr old. I recall hearing that they ran big too but I found it varied. She wears an 11.
We tried these in an 11: http://www.crocs.com/crocs-kids-crocband/10998,default,pd.html?cid=670&cgid=girls-footwear-clogs. DD thought they were too small. They bothered her toes. Sadly, the 12's were too big.
We bought her an 11 in these and they were a smidge big but fine: http://www.crocs.com/crocs-girls-keeley/10694,default,pd.html?cid=42W&cgid=girls-footwear-flats.

DD tried on the 12/13s and they were enormous! If we do split sizing, it will have to be the 10/11s. Or the single sized 11 or 12, but DD wants the classic clogs.

DD was fit in a 12 shoe for the summer (to last all summer) so she is not quite a full 12 yet. Her 10/11 crocs still fit with room. I have some 12/13's waiting for her for next fall/winter and the are absolutely enormous.
