I didn't read the entire thread about swimsuits and coverups, but thought being Mamas maybe try a control swimsuit thread?

I got this style from LandsEnd years ago, still love it. They had black and dark brown then, nicer to see more colors:

I splurged on a Miracle Suit since we moved to the beach area. I ended up with this one, it has nice tummy control and does enhance your boobs. That helps attract the eye away from the tummy area. Not recommended for anyone over a c-cup, but depends on what all you want to show  :

Downside to Miracle Suits for me, first the price, and they crinkled around the rear-end. Like loose elastic. I don't have a big booty needing that (wish I had more of one) but it looked so unattractive! This suit didn't do that so I kept it, and it was the only one where I loved the purple. On miracle suits the back straps still feel like they are going to slide off my shoulders. See back photo. Also, no way you can get this on in 10 seconds, unless you maybe order 4 sizes too big. Once its on its comfy enough, except the shoulder straps feeling like are going to slide off.

I would love this MS top!:

Just can't justify the price. Bought 2 from LandsEnd, they should arrive tomorrow, wish me luck!:

What are your favs or recommendations for control suits and type of control? I mainly need tummy control having twins & thats where extra weight likes to stay :(.

I've been wanting to try a control suit! Right now, I always wear swim skirts because of how I look in a regular suit, but I wonder if a control suit would fix enough of my problem areas.

I always have trouble with straps. Mine have to cross in back to stay up.

I got one from WalMart this year. It's from the Suddenly Slim line by Catalina. I couldn't find it on their website, but it does an amazing job of holding me in and is very flattering. Especially for $32!

I've had great luck with the miracle suit 2 years ago. I totally wore it out. Last year I went to swim shorts and a rashguard top.

I have the Carmela swimsuit you ordered from LE in brown and I really like it. Did you get yours yet?

Beth, I'm keeping the Carmela, I love it! I picked deep tropical teal. I'm not big chested but the underwire helps me out, plus I can't even feel it :). The suit is so comfy!

pastrygirl, I'd suggest going to cyberswim. com. Click on 'misses' or bra size. Suits will show up. To the left of the start of the suit pics, it's let's you choose what type of control you are looking for. I found some pics of the 'real life makeovers' and seeing different body types looking so much better in the new styles, I loved that! You could see styles of suits you think will fit your shape and try less expensive brands ;). When I ordered from them, I think I tried 6 different suits, no charge to return the other 5. Also Eddie baurer carried miracle suits, (on sale) there are some on the Amazon sale. Most of the styles have the straps that feel like they are going to fall off my shoulder, I would deeply consider another except for that.

I can't remember where I saw it, it was a suit with stirring at the waist, it also had it go around to the back! Loved that, such a great concept for control suits, don't leave the back thinner and completely plain!

I've ordered a couple colors of the grecian LE suit and they should be here this week. I like that it came with larger cup sizes. http://www.landsend.com/pp/StylePage-276968_AL.html?amp;CM_MERCH=REC-_-FPPP-_-GGT-_-2-_-276968-_-397916 I also ordered a couple colors of the Sweatheart LE suit. I think that it is cute on the model and I hope it can provide some support. http://www.landsend.com/pp/StylePage-397916_AL.html?amp;CM_MERCH=REC-_-FPPP-_-GGT-_-2-_-397916-_-276968 I hope that one of these works because I'm going to be spending the week of the 4th with my in laws at the pool pretty much the whole time. Sorry I missed your post last week because I have been having the exact same thoughts lately ;)

Sarah, the sweetheart is cute, it just flattened my boobs :(. I need all the Breast enhancer and tummy control I can get, lol.

I thought about the grecin, like it :D. Hope your trip is fun and goes well!

That cyberswim site is great! Those before/after photos are just what I need. It's nice to see suits on bodies shaped like mine!

I like the first MS that you posted (green one), and the last one from Land's End the best, esp if the tummy is the problem area. I had one from LLBean the year I had DD, but the sizing was all off, and it did not really look very good on me. They do not appear to have the one I had bought.

This is nice (http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/68216?feat=624-GN1), but the price is high. Based on my experience, I would assume that this would run really small.

I have gone with a rashgard and swim shorts this year. I also like that for the sunblock factor.

FYI, Garnet Hill has control swimsuits on sale and zappos has spanx swimsuits that look super stylish.

I'm pregnant now, so no control for me, but I have worn the grecian Land's end tank before and like it. I had always wanted a higher waisted tankini bottom but never found it, and now it appears that Spanx and Land's End both have one (although the LE one gets pretty bad reviews). I think I'll probably invest in one of those for next summer.

For those of you wearing rash guards, what do you buy a separate bikini top to wear underneath it? Do some come with a built-in bra? Thanks!

I just wear a sports bra, typically, if I don't plan to remove the rash guard.

I have the same red swimsuit from Walmart that Puddy73 posted and it's so flattering. Looks like it costs a lot more than $32! I love it.
