I have been buying good shoes for DD1 since before she starting walking but the brands I have been buying still aren't right for her. She usually wears a Mary Jane style and lately in merrells. I've noticed that because she tip toe walks sometimes and has knocked knees the shoes she wears rub against the inside of her feet and she gets blisters. She doesn't complain but that is due in part to her being autistic. She doesn't always feel cold/pain but I want to find better shoes for her. I went to get her measured to make sure she wasn't a narrow and he said no, but that the merrells are too flexible. All this time I thought I needed a flexible shoe and I needed a more study shoe. She tried on Tsukihoshi and those fit good but all they had were the tennis shoes. I saw online they make a Mary Jane style and was wondering if those are going to be just as sturdy. Or am I kidding myself and she needs tennis shoes and no more Mary janes of any brand.

aren't Tsukihoshi way more flexible than merrill's? DD has Tsukihoshi sneakers (she can't fit into the MJ style) and they are super super flexible (almost slipper like). What about going with a sturdier MJ like a Jumping Jax either crossover MJ sneaker or a leather version?

DD's most supportive shoes so far have been leather sneakers (either NB or SR).

Those JJ are adorable. The Merrells are flexible by the strap towards the heel and the tsukishoshi weren't very flexible in the heel if that makes sense. Do you know if the JJ are flexible or more sturdy towards the heel?
