I had thought DS had AT LEAST another 6 mos of diapers so had kept up a stash. We have been talking about potty slowly and had chairs around. He has voluntarily peed on the potty two nights in a row. I'm gonna have a lot of extra, I think.. Like at least 4 cases.

If you do end up not needing them, please consider donating the unopened cases to your local food bank.

Ours will accept them & we've donated at least once.

Is he doing it all during the day or just at night while you get him dressed for bed? It sure is fun when they get PTed, but we've continued to use them for overnight.

You may still get use out of them for bedtime. My 3 yr old DD potty trained in Feb 2010 but she is still wearing a pullup/diaper at night.

Not to be a downer, but DD peed in the potty multiple times a day for about a month, and then totally lost interest for about 6 months until she was ready to actually PT.

Hold onto them for a little bit.

Yeah, it took us about a year from the first pee on the potty to fully pee daytime trained. and another 4 months until he was both poop trained and night time trained.

Way to go! I hope it sticks and he continues to do well!

I think we're finally there with DS2. He was potty trained for about a month a while ago and then refused. He's now been dry for a week, including nights!

I have about 3 months worth of overnite dipes right now too.. And 4 boxes of wipes. I don't think we are that close, but I didn't think he would even try it at this age. Tonight he refused.

bummer he didn't want to tonight. IME, it really is easiest when they lead it. FWIW, my DS the same age started "going" in the potty when he was 18.5 mos, then backed off, and is now telling us and making it to the potty about 20% of the time. We'll try training unders when we're home this week, but we won't push it.

You can always save the diapers for another DC if you plan on having another. We did that and ended up with no waste. good luck!

If you ordered them from Amazon, they have free 365 day returns on baby products. I wouldn't send the wipes back, though - you can ALWAYS use those. (Think road trip!)

Good luck on PT!!

Well at 4 am he woke up saying he wanted to poop on the potty, but mommy couldn't get up. I'm going to see how a week of this goes and then talk to daycare.

:yeahthat: We have done just fine with overnites/pullips for nighttime OR regular diapers.

DD has not peed anywhere but the potty in the daytime for months, but still needs something at night.......as in we are not even close to dry at night!
