I've only has experience with one stroller, a BOB revolution, so I need your help.

I was looking to get either a BJCM, Micralite Fastfold, or a Cybex Onyx as a travel/umbrella stroller to use so I don't have to haul BOB around. I can't find a store that has a Micralite near me, so I can't test it out.

I like different things about each, but haven't really figured out which would be the best for my needs.

The 3 things I wanted were

1. easy push/fold
2. big canopy
3. <$300 or I'm sure I'd get a bee+ :)

The Micralite would be perfect, except the canopy isn't big at all (can you buy an accessory that would fix this?). I live in FL, so the mesh seat is very appealing, my poor daughter (7m) is always hot.

The BJCM is awesome, but a little bigger than I was hoping for.

The Onyx is appealing, but I was hoping for something that could stand up to more "rugged" terrain (i.e. air tires), although it would mainly be for shopping and travel.

Anyone have any thoughts on these strollers?

I love my Fastfold, but it's not for everyone. I love how light it is, super easy standing fold; it has a great one-handed push, and can go over anything if you tip it on the back wheels. The mesh seat is great for summer. You can also get the Micralite all-terrain kit and swap out the front wheels for air tires (it won't fold with them on though).
The canopy is pretty pathetic, but you can buy the Micralite sun & bug cover, or get a canopy extender like these.

Other cons is that the FF is back heavy, and is tippy if nothing is in the basket, and your child isn't sitting in the seat. It's also 24" wide in the front-- the same width as the BJCM is in the back. The recline is also pretty minimal, but TBH, I've never even used it.
I also had a BJCM and loved it, but sold it b/c I used the FF all the time. I do miss it sometimes when at the mall or something-- because it was not remotely tippy when loaded down with bags, even when the seat was empty.
The new Cybexes look great. I did have an 09 Topaz for a brief time. I thought it was nice enough, but the handles were too high for me (5'2"), and it was kind of heavy for an umbrella. I also was not a fan of all the white plastic parts, but the new models seem much improved.

Thank you for this link, I think they even have a fastfold as a demo model for one of them(?). I took her out today in the BOB and she was sweating, her hair was wet, her back was wet - it's ridiculous!!

I might stick with the Micralite unless anyone knows if the Cybex doesn't get them too hot...

Thanks again :)
