Dr seuss' Cat in the Hat

We are doing a dr Seuss theme for dd's birthday next month. I am looking for the hat from The Cat in the Hat...does anyone know where I can purchase them? I thought it would be fun for the kids to put them on and play with them.

You might try Michael's. I was in there the other day and I don't remember specifically seeing the hat, but I do vaguely remember seeing an end cap of Dr. Seuss items.

Today 7/5 in north-central NJ my Michaels had a big display of on sale Seuss stuff .

I was at Micheal's a few weeks ago and found some great stickers and bookmarks! I also found really cute 'all about me' book that i will do with dd around her birthday. i may scrap book some of the pages, otherwise i'll put it in her memory box with pics from the party.

i didn't see any hats though. i checked out target's dollar section as well, and didn't see any. maybe just my target though. has anyone seen hats there?

I saw the hats at Targets in two different towns in the past two weeks. The hats were made like typical "Cat in the Hat" hats but they were multi-colored instead of red-and-white striped. They were also very large (I didn't try one on but they looked like they'd fit me). DS has wanted a "Cat in the Hat" hat for a while but he turned down the Target hats b/c they weren't the right colors.

They still might be cute for a party favor though, assuming the kids were older. DS is a large three-year-old and there's no way he could have kept that hat on.

I just left the Michaels in No. VA and they have a large selection of Dr. Suess "I can do that" activities and quite a bit of favor stuff out for back to school. I did note that they have paper head band hats also.

I was at Target today and like PP's mentioned, my Target had some Cat in the Hat stuff in the dollar spot that would be cute favors. They had, Cat in the Hat silly bands, erasers, socks, markers, bookmarks and reusable totes. All $1 each.
