How do you clean the oven racks?

I'm scrubbing, but parts are really hard to get at and I'm not having much luck. Ideas?

I rarely do :) but when I do:
I lay down some plastic trash bags outside and cover them with newspaper. I lay the racks on top, then spray with oven cleaner. I let sit for awhile, then scrub a little with a sponge if necessary and rinse off with the hose. Then I wipe dry. HTH!

I have never cleaned racks but I have cleaned stove drip pans with oven cleaner and it works great!
