what smartphones allow u to use apps?

I think probably all smartphones have some apps but it depends on which ones you want to use. I know for sure that the iPhone and all the Droid phones use apps.

basically im deciding between iphone and blackberrie (android phones aren't as good here in canada as they are in the states)

do blackberries have good apps? i can get a blackberrie for free and an iphone for 70....
