I thought I'd start this thread. Thanks to BillK I have a few google+ invites available to first 2 people who post here (I may have more, but have promised a couple to family). After you post to claim, PM me your email address and I'll invite you. BUT, please be willing to give up at least 2 of your invites to other BBBers.

BTW, you don't have to add me to one of your circles... ;-)

I'm not sure. I've invited DH, mom, 1 friend, and 2 BBBers. I don't see a number limiting me like it did with gmail (which was 10 back in the day, then they went up to 99 I think).

pastrygirl just let me in and I'm able to invite a lot since DH, my brother, my SIL, and everyone else in my family seems to have received it today as well (from other sources). I have to say, it was funny to find myself added to all these other circles and NO ONE bothered to actually invite me!

To be fair, I will invite BBB'ers per the list here chronologically in order of posts. PM me your gmail account and tell me what time you posted here so I can take the earliest members. Thanks!

Try to join from your yahoo account. When I'm in google+, there is an option to get email addresses from my yahoo account so I think you can invite folks with other email addresses and then they just have to create/link to a google/gmail account.

P.S. I suggest BBBers PM someone who has recently edited their post to say they got in and can now take requests. I know nrp just did that (look back on page 2 ffor her post). I've invited about 9 people now and have sent PMs to another 6 who haven't replied. I got to the middle of page 3 or so, but I'm going to stop PM'ing other BBBers just in case the limit is 10 (since there are 6 outstanding PMs I'm still waiting to hear back from).

my invites are closed. I don't think it's a number, I think it might be that they open it for a while and then close it after a bunch of people have gotten in. I'd expect that they'll let me invite others later. I'll keep checking. They're trying to control the growth.

Are you in gmail? If so look at the top toolbar and on the left there should be your name with a "+". That should take you back there without logging in.

Yes it actually says invite and was under the get google plus mobile icon. When it was there, it would have a pop up screen to enter emails. If you just add someone to your circle, they get an email of your posts (it will say email only when you click on the icon in your circles page).

I don't have a gmail account. I'm using my yahoo as my email for google+. I do have a blog with google's blogger, but that's the only google product I use. Would it be my blogger password then? I use my yahoo address as the address connected to my blog too.

You'd think after the Wave failure they'd try a different approach. Social networking programs require, oh I dunno, people actually being social with one another. There's not much of a chance for that if none of my friends can join. That's what happened with Wave; I had an invite but very few friends did so there was very little chance to interact with anyone.

I think they think they'll get more cache by being "exclusive." for the past couple of days almost every time I check I have invites.
