Ours have gotten quite a few stains and I don't know how to get rid of those other than scribing with an abrasive and getting big time scratches. Is that the only way?

Do you mean the outside, SS finish? Don't use abrasives, it gets scratched really easily, as you know. Have you tried a special SS cleaner?

I'll be watching this thread because I have the same question. I've read on another forum about using Barkeeper's friend, and tried using it on the outside of our stove, but it only did an ok job.

I have tried using stainless steel cleaners but they are just for shine. To give you an idea of the stains I am talking about, here's a picture1917 < now, where is that bag over my head smiley!> I have so far held out on using abrasive cleaners and this is the state. But now I am looking for anything that would help.

I wonder if the Norwex cleaning paste would get that off. It really works wonders! It took off all the smudgy fingerprints and water stains on my stainless steel fridge.
