DS (6 yrs) old is tall and skinny (now weighs about 43 lbs) I usually get him adjustable waist pants and pull-on ones because they seem more comfortable. I discovered The Children's Place cargo shorts and pants when he was 4 and we have now been getting them every year. They are elastic without adjustable waist, but they fit him well and never fall down.

The shorts and pants are now 25% off (code= FRIEND) so the shorts come out to $7.50 and the pants are $10 ($5 shipping)

Toby,

Thanks for the recommendation. I will check them out for my two skinny boys.

Yeah, I'll check them out too.. Regular pants adjusted in look ridiculous on my DSs. If these are slim through the hips, they'll be fantastic! TCP jeans almost work on our older one, and if I size down the shorts work.
