View Full Version : ThinkFun games (eg: Rush Hour, Tipover)

I am looking for a bday present for a 7 year old boy. He has Rush Hour (not sure if it is Jr or not) and loves Chess. I thought that Tipover looked good, but it says that it is for ages 8 and up. Can anyone comment on this game or any other ThinkFun ones that would be good for a 7 year old?

I wouldn't let the age guideline deter you on Tipover. If it turns out to be too advanced right away, he'll grow into it.

Shape by Shape, Brick by Brick and Block by Block are also good.

Thanks! This isn't ThinkFun, but do you know anything about Qwirkle?

Qwirkle is VERY fun, and the logic can get more complex as he develops more. He should be easily able to play at 7.

Don't know if he likes chocolate, but Chocolate Fix (pretty sure that's the name) is a great ThinkFun game as well. We have Shape by Shape too - Chocolate Fix gets used more, but if he's very spatial/visual he'll like Shape by Shape.

Chocolate Fix is older DD's fav ThinkFun game.

I think we're unusual in this, but my kid has never really been into Qwirkle.
