I was just coming to post this. I ordered several items in my usual size. I haven't worn J Crew in forever, so I'm hoping it works out ok. They used to run a bit fitted IIRC, but maybe they've changed. I never see any clearance at the store, but I don't pop in much. I'll post what I got when I have more time.

I just returned from the B&M store and the discount is 30% in store (in CA). I also tried on a pair of shorts and they definitely seemed to run a bit big as compared to BR/Gap/ON sizing, at least to me!

I found a few cute things in store but they didn't have my size (plus I prefer the 40% discount online :wink2:) so I'm going shopping online again :D

I'm not sure about the embellishments...but I love the quality of JCrew flip Flops. The sole is thick and comfy. Those cheapy Havianas always break on me but not these ones. Great flip flops, imo!

I got four things for $37. Mostly for DD as I think buying for me at final sale is not something I want to do without trying it on. I totally didnt need those flip flops but its always fun to have a cute pair around. Thanks for the recommendation on those!

those are really cute but does any one know if those straps are comfy? I have JCrew flip flops but they are the ones with the elastic bands and I know those are super comfy. not sure about these plastic looking straps?

How are you guys liking your stuff? I like everything. Wish I had checked out before the boatneck T in navy disappeared. The white is pretty see-through, but the navy would've been perfect w/white jeans. The sideline sweater has a great texture and is wide, but doesn't make me look wide. Glad I got it. The 2 open cardys are nice, cropped. I like the pink better than the gray, which is a bit flat. Prob my least fav. item is the shortcut sweater, which is tight in the arms, but big and shapeless in the body. I could've gone down a size if not for the arms. Overall, you guys were right about the sizing, it does run a bit big in the tops. The last time I bought Jcrew was in high school/college, so they must have changed.

I got also 3 pairs of shorts and I'll probably return 2 of them. I find that the 3 pairs run big, I could have easily sized down. Does anyone know if I can exchange them for a smaller size if I return in store (assuming they'd have the size I need)?
Overall I'm happy with my first purchase at JCrew even if the sizing was a bit off. The items for which this really matters can be returned so it's all good. Next time I'll be right on :-)

IMO crewcuts runs pretty small. DD is wearing 2t right now and the crewcuts shirt she had on yesterday looked tight on her. 3t works well for her right now. HTH!

I thought so too! DS wears 18-24mo clothes and the size 3 shorts I got him for next summer look identical to his 2T shorts now.

However, I love the quality of the crewcuts clothes! So soft, comfortable and yet stylish! :)

I love almost everything I got (1 sweater, 1 tank, 3 pants) except for one pair of classic chinos. Luckily, that was the only returnable item! I must say that J. Crew's sizing has definitely changed since last I remember. I've always been the same size (10) and I used to have to get size L in their tops. Thanks to you ladies, I opted to buy M and they fit really nicely, not snug but shaped. Two of the pants (loungewear) are also M and fit well, same not snug but shaped. Great sale!

I agree with PP. I bought my 6.5 DD 8's for this Fall and they're perfect. She's a bit tall but slim. I also have been purchasing 8s in LE Kids and they seem to be the same for tops. I'd def opt for the 3s or 4s for next year. hth

I only ordered a swimsuit and flip flops. EEK - the tankini suit top is HUGE!! I had a J.Crew swimsuit about 5 years ago and it ran really small so I ordered the larger of my 2 sizes and whoa. But I guess it's better big than too small because it fits in the cups and I can take in the sides. The bottoms were ok though.

Still glad I ordered because I needed a simple/modest suit to wear when I take the LO swimming and this was cheap I love the style of the foldover boy shorts.
