I was searching through some old threads about Frye boots and saw you were considering the same boots I tried on today - the ones that PW has. Did you buy them? What do you think?

I really love the look of the boot but it was "baggier" throughout my calf than I thought it would be and I'm worried that they may slouch. Can you share your wisdom with me? :) TIA!

I'm not infomama, but I did try on the Frye Jane boots on recently too at the Nordstrom sale. I tried on the Jane Strappy (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/frye-jane-strappy-boot/3155300?origin=keywordsearch&resultback=0) that were on sale as well as the Jane 14 in Redwood (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/frye-jane-14-tall-pull-on-boot/2988531?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_ite=frye_'jane_14'_tall_pull-on_boot:232852&cm_pla=shoes:women:boots&cm_ven=Froogle&mr:referralID=NA&mr:trackingCode=96F1CFFD-D981-DE11-B712-001422107090) that PW has. They ended up being more baggy and casual looking than I thought, so I went with another boot instead, the Via Spiga Kacey riding boot (http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/via-spiga-kacey-riding-boot/3172666) in chocolate. It was a little dressier and more polished/work appropriate. Between the two Jane boots, I liked the strappy one better because it looked nicer to have the extra buckle details; the Jane 14 looked very "cowboy", which is OK for casual, but not something I could really wear to work. Both of them were very wide and baggy on my calves though, so they slouched. The Kacey ones were slimmer and fit better on me. Also it had a lower heel than the Jane boots so I felt I could wear them longer (I'm not used to wearing heels). The leather on the Frye boots felt softer though.
