yes the unique code came in an email after signing up. I got mine after signing up about 1 month ago, I don't know if they're still running that promotion.

They are! I got mine just a couple of days ago. It did not stack though. It did take 20% off clothes that the BFASHION code did not apply to.

Thanks. I have never tried Splendid before, but seems to be pretty popular here, so happy to try it out after discount.

Do you have links to the tops? Looking for more ideas....

Have you ever tried Ella Moss - how does the fabric compare to Splendid? I saw some things I liked but was a little put off by the rayon....

Ella Moss is made by the same company as Splendid...their line is a little dressier and higher priced. THe fit is similar. I really like the Ella Moss pieces I have, but wear more Splendid bc it is more casual. You should definitely try it...there are free returns so there's nothing to lose!

I feel like I am getting better value for money with Splendid and for some reason I did not like the fit with Ella Moss the few times I've tried their tops so I stopped trying. The other brand that I like for tops is Michael Stars, I have several shine tops and they wear like iron and look great on. HTH!

I have yet to receive this particular Splendid top but in my experience with this brand their t-shirt fabrics are somewhat sheer, which I don't mind since I live in CA and am not particularly shy. I just make sure to wear a non-transparent bra underneath. You might be better off buying a colored rather than white top, if that's a concern for you.

A - could you send the link to the Seven jeans you're referring to? I'd love to try a pair. If I'm a 4, I should get a 28, right? I really need more stylish/flattering jeans to go with my various new tops, and also considering I pretty much live in jeans. Thanks!

Kozachka, thanks for the reminder about purchases for DH. I am feeling rather guilty about all the recent shopping for myself - we pretty much only spend on kids' stuff - and my DHs wardrobe could stand to be overhauled. Any other links welcome! My DH is more casual preppie than hip - when he isn't in a tshirt and jeans it's button down shirts and v-neck sweaters.

How does Splendid fit? I'm debating small or medium....on a couple of shirts.

If you are busty and considering a fitted style get the medium...go smaller for the boxy/oversized styles. I need a large in the tighter fitting t shirts to accommodate my large chest size, otherwise I just feel so self conscious! (I'm a 36DD).

In my experience Splendid fits TTS. I typically buy M tops in contemporary sizing, but I am an S in J. Crew, which runs large for me. I buy size 6 button down shirts in Banana Republic, which tend to be tight in the bust, and can be anywhere between size 4 and 8 in tops, depending on the brand and cut.

I'd be happy to help with sizing if you post what brands you wear size S in and what brands you wear size M in. Or just go by Splendid's size chart. I always check brand's chart on their site if I am not sure. With free returns you can also buy both sizes and then decide.

For the more fitted items I would err on the side of the larger size. I'm an XS or S in most brands and while I can wear XS in Splendid, I prefer the less clingy fit of the S in the tees. I bought an XS sweater. I am between sz 2-4 in most brands.

You are most welcome! My DH's casual wardrobe could also stand to be overhauled and I've been slowly working on it. For your DH I'd start with a pair of designer jeans, there are some that are $50-$60 after the code right now, which is a pretty good price. DH has these (http://www.amazon.com/Earnest-Sewn-Fulton-Straight-Leg-Maximum/dp/B0047N12TY/ref=sr_1_11?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1311576114&sr=1-11) bootcut jeans in another dark wash that I picked up on Gilt or RueLaLa for him. They had to be shortened as they have 34" inseam, but it was worth the investment. He looks amazing in them, much better than in way too light Levi's that he used to wear before. We also got him Tommy Hilfiger and DKNY jeans from Marshall's for $25-$35 plus tax for everyday use.

DH also particularly likes his Lucky Jeans t-shirt (it's very soft) and Tommy Hilfiger polos and button down shirts that I got for him on sale/at outlets. I insisted he tries them on in a smaller size that he was used to wearing (a lot of men wear clothes in either a too large or too small size since they buy what they are used to buying) and since then his huge Ralph Lauren polos and shirts have been getting very little action ;).

Just look through Amazon men's store and you'll know what your DH would like and what you are comfortable price-wise. I spent a good chunk of time on the site trying to find something that DH would hopefully like and that would make him look more current. Keeping my fingers crossed that I nailed it. DH normally prefers to stick to familiar brands, colors and looks.

You should also check out J Crew and Banana Republic sale for your DH. HTH!

Ime, they run a size small but i have a big butt to take into account. ;) I am usually a 6/28 in bottoms nowadays and my 29s are a good fit. When I was a size 2-4, I used a 27.

Seriously, you ladies are such enablers! I just spent a few hundred at Boden and then dropped $200 here (I wasn't able to stack coupons BTW-just one 20%) and then also purchased some dresses for weddings on Piperlime. My poor credit card.

I wound up ordering the Smalls in Splendid because one shirt only had a small left and the other was pretty baggy. I'll probably regret it. I'm not large busted (b cup)...but a little broad backed...I blame working out. So we'll see.

I also ordered a pair of AG skinny and Joe Jeans skinny jeans to decide which one to keep. I wear a 27 in Citizens of Humanity, but tend to be a 28 in True Religion and Paige so I ordered 28's.

i ordered 3 items from patterson kincaid, but not the sweater above. I returned them all. IMO, their stuffs just don't worth the retail prices. They are all made in China and the materials are thin and are not as soft as splendid or 7 for all mankind. Also, the fit is very roomy or oversized. I think their style is more vintage boho (is that even a term??)

How are the Splendid tops for long torso's? I am a small if it wasn't for my torso length. I usually have to size up to a med, sometime large to get the length but then everything is extra big. I was thinking of getting a medium and hoping it's not too baggy.

That's funny. I really liked the back. That's what got me to pull the trigger. As mentioned earlier I'm a little broad backed and I have slight scoliosis so I'm sensitive to things across my back. Honestly, I don't know. I never got into the slouchy boot look but that doesn't mean they aren't in. It just never was my thing. I like my suede boots but I also wanted a really clean, simple lines leather riding boot. I just think it gives different looks to the same outfit.

My first order arrived today.

I ordered this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0047Y1TOG in size xsmall red/oatmeal for $25.70 after code. I like it and it fits nicely. It is a great length - covers most of my butt!

This is being replaced because they sent me a small and it is baggy, and I ordered an xsmall: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0043M5O4S It is short sleeved! I may send the xsmall back because it is thin but it is comfortable so maybe I will keep it as a pj top if I decide it is too thin - you can see bra lines. For $12.86 it could be a good pj top. I had to replace it rather than get a refund because they sent me the wrong one. I couldn't be bothered talking to customer service.

Thanks for the input, very useful! Now I just have to decide if DH can handle the sight of another box at our front door...

Order both and see what you think - they'll pack them both in one box ;) I really like the white - it seems very breezy and summery. The black I can see myself wearing as it gets cooler.

How are the Splendid tops for long torso's? I am a small if it wasn't for my torso length. I usually have to size up to a med, sometime large to get the length but then everything is extra big. I was thinking of getting a medium and hoping it's not too baggy.

They seem long to me. This one covered half of my butt: http://www.amazon.com/Splendid-Womens-Strip-Oatmeal-Small/dp/B0047Y1T7I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1311745485&sr=8-2

Is this too wild? DH says I have been watching Real Housewives of New Jersey too much. Thoughts?

I wouldn't have the confidence to wear it!

I like it! It would be cute casual with jeans or dressy with skirt or pants. Your husband may like it with just a garter and boots:hug:

I don't know if it's too wild, per se, but it's definitely NMS.

Yeah its pretty iffy. I might request a cancellation and if it still ships oh well.

There are still some really good deals to be had by the way. I see some prices are going up but particularly on basic cotton tees and tanks and skinny jeans there are still some decent deals. Coats too.

It's free returns, so just get it and see how you like it. I guess it just depends on your lifestyle. I couldn't imagine wearing it to school drop off but it could be nice for a nice date night with black pants or skinny jeans and black boots.
