We're going to a beach party tomorrow and it's a decent trek from the parking lot to the spot. Do red plastic radio flyer wagons do ok (with light loads) in the sand does anyone know? I'm not talking about hauling the kids in it, just light stuff like a blanket, chairs, etc. Let me see if I can get a link posted for the type of wagon we have...

Don't laugh, but it depends on the sand. It would work at many places we've vacationed at. But, it would never work in the light, powdery, fluffy dune sand at the Lake MI beaches that we frequent.

Not laughing--that makes total sense! Usually the sand at this beach is thick and heavy. Not necessarily heavy from wetness, just a heavy sand in general.
