I just got some corn on the cob from our CSA, but we probably won't get to eat it until tomorrow or more likely Saturday.

How do I store it - fridge? Counter? pantry?

You can shuck it now and place the ears in a ziploc bag in the fridge. Works well :)

I put it in the fridge, sometimes I husk it sometimes not. It seems fine either way. My favorite way to cook it is with some butter, salt & pepper, then wrapped up in tinfoil on the grill. It's really good!

:yeahthat: And if we grill it, we grill it with the husk on. That's why I leave it (not because I'm lazy, nope, not at all).

I keep it in the fridge, husk on. We bake it (husk on) in the oven...delicious.

:yeahthat: supposedly it stays fresher longer in the husk.

Fridge... in the husk.

We boil ours for 20 minutes.

For those of you that grill it, how long do you grill it?

:yeahthat: to both. The silk seems easier to get off once they've been baked too.

Fridge it is, thanks!

I left the husks on. Usually we take off the silks, soak, and grill. YUMMY!!!

If there is no moisture on them......no water has been sprinkled on them they can stay with their husk on for 3-4 days with no problems.

I just put them with my potatoes.

Don't husk it, corn is starch so as soon as it's picked the starch breaks down, husking it increases the breaking down of the corn. Completely submerge the corn in water for thirty minutes, then throw on grill til husks are slightly blackened all around. Best corn ever!
