I need a dinner date dress for my 15 yr. wedding Anniversary!

Our 15 year wedding Anniversary is next week!
DH and I are going out to dinner in the city, somewhere very nice I'm sure (it's a secret as to where), and then staying in a posh hotel--yahoo!--first time away from all three kids!

So, I need a nice dress and shoes for going out. I am really bad about picking out dressy clothes. I'm a casual girl.
My style is feminine, stylish, with a touch of sexy, but not overboard. I'm a DD, and dislike really low cut things.

The only requirement is that I can wear it in this hot weather. Hows that :) I'm open to any color, any fit (as long as it isn't skin tight--I have a little bit of mommy tummy), any fabric. I'm totally flexible on those specs. I'm a size 8, so I can wear most things.

It's been so long since I've really dressed up nice, that I didn't even know what to call that kind of dress. Oh yeah, a cocktail dress (slaps forehead).

We're finally going out for our anniversary next week--over a month late! Thankfully I have a cute little black number that I picked up on clearance at Target a while back and it's just been hanging in my closet. I'm going to pair it was some red strappy sandals and I'm good to go! The dress is jersey knit, so a little on the casual side, but it fits me perfectly.

ITA about AT. Those are great dresses. I tried on the cross-over dress and it was flattering. The black one also looks great. They're knit, so you could also wear them w/a cardy for work. Accessorized w/some great jewlery/heels/bag, and they can go for date night. I was also just at the AT outlet and everything in the store was 50% off. I got a great dark red dress for $55 (from the fall line).

Congratulations on 15 years! We will be celebrating ours this November and are hoping for our first overnight since DD2 was born (she has been a terrible sleeper so we are reluctant to leave her with our in laws who are getting older).

For a nice date night, I would also personally prefer something in more of a matte finish that you are more likely to where for other occasions down the road.
