Backpack instead of purse?

Any cute ideas? My shoulder is hurting from carrying a purse on one side, so I need to switch to a backpack. Vera Bradley ones are fun, but a bit too big for me. Anything a touch smaller, but still has some element of style?

I :heartbeat: my Vera Bradley backpack. It's the smaller one (not the laptop backpack.) in Baroque & works great for me. Just the right # of pockets that are easy to get into, yet things feel secure.
