So my family has agreed to try a salmon dish! Shocking by all accounts even for my DH, and I really want them to like it! Please tell me your favorite Salmon recipe or even just dish and I'll find a recipe online. It has to be fairly easy as I'll be making it tonight after work. It honestly doesn't have to be healthiest version, just something to get them interested!

I do a glazed salmon by mixing honey, dijon mustard and corn starch and brushing that on, then broiling till well done but not dry/overcooked. Cook's Illustrated has a good recipe for this basic technique, but cook longer than they suggest unless you like it very rare. Super easy and very tasty, the glaze is very friendly for fish newbies. We also love blackened salmon with a cajun rub or just plain grilled salmon with pepper and lemon juice. I love salmon.

We made a honey/teriyaki/ginger salmon a couple days ago with asian style green beans (with onions and garlic sauteed in soy sauce, a touch of brown sugar, sriracha and sesame oil) and it was to.die.for.

I made this for our BBQ a couple of weeks ago, and several friends asked for the recipe. Even DH, who doesn't like fish, likes this recipe.

We like glazed salmon, too, and right at the end we brush it with maple syrup. Then, if we have little children eating it, when it comes out we drizzle with maple syrup again.

So, rub with really good quality olive oil. Broil or grill. When the surface becomes opaque and it flakes when you test it with a fork, it's done.

Honey dijon glazed is always a safe bet. I also like honey sesame oil and soy sauce.

But my favorite salmon is olive-oil poached salmon! It comes out unbelievably silky.

We just BBQ it in foil, sprinkle a little bit of lemon juice and black pepper on it, wrap in foil. BBQ 5min per side for a filet, maybe 6-7 min/side for a thick salmon steak.

ETA: can also use maple syrup, soy sauce, dill, etc. Just mix it up. But lemon juice and pepper is just basic and lovely.

Salmon with rosemary, lemon and capers.

Tear a piece of aluminum foil big enough to wrap the salmon in. Put the salmon on the foil, brush olive oil all over. Sprinkle a pinch of salt, pepper and chopped rosemary. Put 2 slices of lemon on top. Add a tsp on capers and some of its juice. Wrap it and put in the oven for 20 min at 425.
