I have been using Earth Science Clarifying Cleanser for the last 10 yrs. and I love it, but my skin is on the dry side so at night I need something a little more moisturizing at night. I don't like slimy cleansers like Cetaphil, or the Earth Science ADE Cleanser (although this isn't horrible). I also used to use Beauty Without Cruelty's Herbal Cream Cleanser, and Alpha Hydrox Cleanser but I haven't seen those in years. Besides my skin being dry it's also very acne prone and since I don't like slimy cleansers I'd prefer to stay away from oil based cleansers as well.

I'd prefer to stay in the $15 or less range, but if there is a phenominal product that is between $15 and $25 I'll consider that too. I have access to Whole Foods, and Sprouts (aka Sun Harvest or Henry's in other parts of the west coast) for health food stores, as well as pretty much every other large retailer except Dillards, and Lord & Taylor (and I don't have a Sam's Club membership).

I'd really perfer something in a bottle so no one takes my face soap.

TIA!

I'm guessing that this is pricey (it was given to me as a gift) but Shue Uemura has a cleansing oil that I think works really well for my dry skin. There's got to be something comparable at Whole Foods though, some sort of facial cleansing oil.

I have similar issues - I use a glycolic wash (DDF Gycolic 5% Exfoliating Wash) and a light moisturizer to follow. I like the DDF Ultra Light Oil Free Moisturizing Dew, which is very light and disappears into your skin. They may be on the expensive side, but I find a little goes a long way. Hope this helps.

I am considering trying some stuff from this line of products ... It seems my skin is like yours ... acne prone but getting dry.

Lancome Creme Radience is phenomenal.

It looks like it's pricey, but honestly, you just need a very very small amount. It's a cream that becomes foamy when wet. Gets rid of makeup and makes you skin feel super clean but not dry.

I have dry skin and recently started using CeraVe hydrating cleanser.....yes, it's available at any drugstore but gets rave reviews on Makeup Alley and a skin care forum I visit/lurk. I've been pleased so far. It's difficult for me to get used to the no lather thing. I will say my skin no longer feels tight and dry after washing.

I use two things (well three of you count my Clairsonic) on my normal to dry (sensitive) skin and it's looking really good.

I have used Clarins for about fifteen years (after it was recommended to me by the Head of PR for Chanel!!) and particularly love the Doux Nettoyant Moussant (foaming cleanser) for sensitive skin. I have dry, sensitive skin and I've never had a reaction to this. Plus it has some scent, which I like (I don't really like the totally fragrance-free products as they usually have some vague 'off' smell).

It's pricey, but so worth it.
