Crayloa Crayons

Just looking at DD's Kinder supplies list, why would they need so many varities of Crayons? there is 16 ct, 24ct, small 8ct and 12ct pencils.......I mean, just don't get the 16 ct and the 24 ct ones...aren't they the same or jsut different colors? Just wondering.

DD needed Crayola Twistables for her 1st grade year. It needed to be a EIGHT count. We found 10 counts, we found 24 counts... I ended up having to pay $3.99 for that freaking 8-count Twistable crayon at TRU the day before school started. Why they couldn't okay the 25-cent 24-count, regular old crayola crayons?!?!

Dora's list for K said "Please look for a box of 8 Classic colors only." In fact it goes on to say, "in this case, more is not better.

I would just buy the 24 count boxes and take out the ones you don't need. :bag

Target has 24 count (not washable) crayons for $.40/box. I bought a bunch because DD1 will definitely lose all of her crayons by mid-year and we'll melt down the extras to make crayon hearts at Valentine's day again. :)

(Office Max, on the other hand, was selling those same boxes for $1.99, though they were buy 2 get 1 free on all Crayola stuff.)

OP, I can't imagine why they would need a box of 16 *and* a box of 24 count. That seems odd. Maybe they meant to put 16 *or* 24 count? (Meaning, not the giant 128 count box, but a small-ish box of crayons? DD1's 2nd grade list just said "a small box of crayons - must fit in the pencil box" which is perfect, because of the cheap 24 count boxes!

My DS needs (for kinder) 3 boxes of 24 count and 3 boxes of 16 count. Who goes through that many crayons in one school year? Also, the 16 count are way more expensive than the 24 count...

This is posted over in deals but TRU has the 24 pack Crayola regular crayons for 25 cents through August 6th.

I personally would buy the 24 pack and then remove 16 of them (just look and see what colors are in the 8 pack). I wouldn't pay extra for the smaller pack, I'm just not wired that way!

They use a lot of crayons, because they get broken.....we had to send twistables in K. I got the 24 pack at TRU B1G2 Free so it wasn't a bad deal.

16 ct i noticed is washable; 24 ct is not and of course far cheaper!
