I have a very spirited 2.5 year old that can be very difficult to deal with. I need some recommendations of good books for a young toddler. DC is beginning to talk back and be very disrespectful which becomes very challenging for me especially in public which usually leads to HUGE embarrassing meltdowns.

I got alot out of Happiest Toddler on the Block. Not just about discipline but about WHY they act they way they do at certain stages. (which, in turn, helped with using discipline correctly and effectively.) Plus, it's an easy read.

I LOVE 1-2-3 Magic by Thomas Phelan.
Easy read, lots of practical suggestions--some will be useful now, some later.
Toddler 411 also has lots of good suggestions.

I am reading this right now (my son is 28 months) and I think it will be helpful for us, too.
