DD has had some dental issues and in order to make it easier to do a really good job of brushing I was thinking of getting her an electric brush. Are they worth it? Any recs?

Our pediatric dentist says not to bother with them, *unless* it will encourage a child to brush the allotted time. He said that electric isn't going to make any difference if it's not getting everywhere it needs to be for long enough.

Of course, YMMV. And if it's a motivating factor to brush longer, than go for it!

DD has a singing toothbrush. She thinks that's about the best thing in the world, and would brush 7 times a day if I let her make it sing each time.

Our entire family uses this one http://www.oralb.com/products/professional-care-smart-series-5000/
I would entertain a kids version if they had one. Dds use the sensitive heads and we change it to a lower speed when they brush (just a little button you press at the start of the cycle).
