I am 5'10" and a size 30 waist. What skinny jeans would look good?? Or are they for size 28 inch waist and below? You can be honest.

Well they all look horrible on me. But I think it less about waist size and more about thigh size. After several attempts to find a decent looking pair last year I decided it was a trend I wasn't meant to wear.

Citizens of humanity Ava. Elektra recommended them and they are comfortable and look great!

Not as tight as skinny jeans, but same look. ;). Super flattering.

:yeahthat:

I think they are technically "straight leg" but they can still be tucked into boots and look pretty streamlined if not skinny.
Here is a pic of me in them to give you an idea of how they look on a real person!

And then I just got these too. I think the "stacked" part refers to the bunching up at the bottom.

I still haven't worn these out but I think they will work with pumps, flats or boots eventually.
also a pic.

Elektra you look awesome. Can you share your size? I don't want to get them if I am going to look like I am "trying" KWIM?

I don't have the guts to do what elektra is doing in the second picture. But, I have some that are between her two in terms of skinniness that I love, the J Crew matchstick in a really dark wash.

Hillview, I think we might be the exact same height, weight and build these days (5' 10", 147, athletic build, bigger on top). I would guess that you would look great and feel great in the Avas. The ones in the pic are 30's. A 29 might even be a better fit these days- they are very forgiving and I was still squeezing into these when I was 20 pounds heavier.

The new sevens are 30s. They are tighter than the Avas. Like really tight!

I am a size 10 (30) and I found that a skinny boyfriend style or slouchy skinny looks best on me. I haven't tried the COH ones yet, but I will once I stop breastfeeding and take off the rest of the old baby weight! Hillview you should just order a ton of jeans from Zappos and try them all on.

The second outfit looks great with the heels and the baggy shirt really works well to make you look slim and stylish. Very good look. They key for me is the loose top. I can use heels to fake height but nothing kills your look like the
muffin!

I have a different body type--shorter 5'4", size 6, muffin top, thicker legs. I got a pair of CK cropped skinny jeans that I love to wear w/boots. But, they are midrise, and more like regular slim jeans on top, so my thighs don't feel totally squished. They have the skinny cropped calves, so fit perfectly in boots for me.

I, too, have heard that slim, straight leg type jeans can be worn w/instead of skinnies. I think Gap makes a "real straight" jean.
