DS used to eat whole wheat bread, but had white at my mom's and suddenly says that he hates whole wheat. I have tried some different kinds, including honey wheat and he has been willing to try, but doesn't like any of them (he is also now suspicious of any breads that have a darker color- sigh). He also doesn't like breads/rolls with grains or seeds.

Are there any whole wheat kinds that your DC like? I was also thinking of unearthing the bread maker which I haven't used in YEARS and making bread or rolls. Does anyone have a particularly good/mild whole wheat recipe? I don't mind DS having some white, but I still would like to get some whole wheat into him.

Thanks!

IME kids go through phases. For a week DS1 wanted Skippy's peanut butter which my mom has but we don't. So he didn't have peanut butter or sunbutter for a week. Then he went back to what we have. I don't so much go try a bunch of things to make it work out (although I did with cheese -- more because he likes new cheeses).

Sorry not to your original question!

my 5-year-old loves Sara Lee bread and he is a picky eater. He just started school & I've been making sandwiches for him on the french rolls by Sara Lee, and he's been eating them well. Lots of choices (http://www.saraleebread.com/our-bread/sara-lee) - HTH.
