I'm looking for new shoes for my day-to-day mommy uniform for fall & winter. You know...jeans, long sleeved t-shirt, maybe a sweater or a down vest, etc. I need something that is appropriate for going to the playground & chasing a 2 1/2 year old everywhere.

I have some great boots that I love, but they're just not feasible for everyday around the house/playground type stuff. I think I'm looking for something brown & preferably under $100. Send me links ladies! TIA!

Do you want clogs? Flats? Boots?

My running after the kids shoes are either rain boots or knee high flat boots. Looks put together yet comfy and practical.

Danskos are addicting and so comfortable. Great for playground, but not good for running or soccer ball kicking. In the early fall, I love my Converse and Jack Purcells, but they do not help me in the late fall or winter months. I don't know where you live, but J41 makes some cute shoes for cold weather:

My go-to shoe for cold weather is flat riding boot! They are very comfy and look great with a pair of dark skinny jeans and a longer tunic top or cardigan. I have a pair of Miz Mooz brown riding boot that I love, can walk for miles in them, very comfy (some are on sale now at Infinityshoes.com), they held up pretty good too. Other than that, I used to wear Uggs but they were old and had to toss them - maybe I'll get a pair of Emus this year. The Chukka rainboots are great for more slushy weather (I don't wear leather shoes/boots while it's raining/snowing/slushing).

Flat riding boots, leather boat shoes, ballet flats, Chelsea boots, and Toms are all very on-trend right now and go with everything

Well, from a purely practical point of view, I prefer flats that slip on. I am always bare foot in the house and rushing to get out the door. It sounds ridiculous but the time it takes to find socks and sit down to put on boots means that I almost never wear them. I don't have any great fashionable suggestions though.

I have these merrell's and LOVE them! I wore them nearly everyday to chase after my young toddler.

I'm actually planning to get another pair of either same style or similar this year. Here are the other merrell slip-ons.

I always wear either ballet flats or flat boots. I've never had a pair of riding boots (I think I'll try them this year), but I usually wear a flat slouchy boot. I can't do the whole merrel's/clarks thing - just NMS.

I go with flat boots. They stay on, I can run, but they look cute. :)

I live in Merrell slip-ons. Last year's new one was the sidestep in navy. Looking forward to winter b/c of that great shoe. Also enjoyed my Bare Trap Ellery boots, but I'm guessing they won't be in great condition this year.

I have some boots that I love & would always like to buy more (but I'm trying to keep it to a minimum.) I really need something that I can wear in those in-between temperature times (like when it's too cold for flip flops, but still a little too warm for boots.) I got some great suggestions & now need to do some serious shopping! :) Thanks!

I :heartbeat: Merrell and Keen slip-ons. Lived in them last fall, winter, and early spring. Will live in them again this year (same ones).

I pretty much wear flat riding boots and ballet flats with my TOM's thrown in there occasionally.

I forget to mention my favorite cold weather boots. I have them in two colors and I wore them every day last year:

I wear "fashion sneakers"...ha ha. That is the category they are in on the shoe websites anyway. I have some by simple similar to this http://www.zappos.com/simple-d-kay-suede-charcoal
and some from Boden kind of like this http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Clearance/Womens-Shoes-Boots/Flat-Shoes/AR457/Womens-Fab-Plimsolls.html

I also like clogs because they look like boots, but I can slide right in. I have these and they are much cuter IRL. http://www.6pm.com/gentle-souls-ridgy-cigaro-nappa

OP, I think for what you describe, clogs are best. I do have wedge lined clogs from Cole Haan that I love for in-between weather, but I cannot find them on sale online.

Another Merrell mom in winter. These are so warm and comfy. And convenient for slipping on and going. I have them in bug brown.

I also have these Uggs in black:

And I got these cute plaid Converse at Kohls last year (women's, though, not kids)
