I'm looking for a pair of ankle type chelsea boots. I want to wear them with jeans and skirts. Here are a few that I like. thoughts? how wearable are they?

I like them in the order you have listed. :) Well, I actually like the GH ones the best, but think the Sam Edelman's will look better with skirts. The urban outfitters ones look kind of generic, and I think a little uncomfortable.

I love the garnet hill ones, then sam edelman and the UO least - but they're also much cheaper. They are very cute, I might have to forego my search of ballet flats and concentrate on ankle boots instead (none of the countless flats I've tried on were comfortable :()

Well I ordered both the SE and the GH ones. We'll see once they get here. I got the SE in black so maybe I'll keep both. :0

If anyone comes across pictures of people wearing these types of boots I'd love to see them. I'm not totally confident on how to style them.

I live in the deep south, so boots are only for fashion. I really don't love wearing tall ones because of the effort of putting them on and off. I SAH and don't typically wear shoes in the house.

Please update when you get them! Love the boots, hope they'll fit you beautifully! I think this style can be worn with bootcut jeans and skinny or straight leg jeans and pants. I'd avoid shirts though - it's starting to look a lot 'country western', unless it's your thing! Maybe a tunic top, cardigan or a sweater? Or a tee and a blaze would be nice, I think.

Yeah, I wouldn't wear them with skirts either honestly, maybe they'd look good on you, but it's NMS. Lately I've seen them with cropped skinny jeans to show off the boot more, which would be great with the GH ones.

I like the GH and then the SE.

I just had to respond because L was looking over my shoulder and asked why I was looking at boots. I told him I was looking at boots someone else wants and he said, "Well, she must be a really young person because Cousin V likes shoes like that." He was referring to my very stylish 24 yo cousin!! :jammin: stylin' mama!!!
