Sprog is obsessed with this $2 ratty old doll high chair I got at a g-sale last weekend. It's got a bent mental frame and isn't long for this world, but I thought I'd try it to see if she likes it. Well, she does. To put it mildly.

What's a good one? Bonus points if it ISN'T pink because a pink high chair as fixture in our house isn't mommy's idea of a good time. :) Another bonus if it's wooden and will go nicely with her Ikea play kitchen.

Thanks!

We have this one. Its cute, simple, sturdy, cheap. It has pink plaid fabric on the seat but you can un-Velcro it.

I can't give this one a review but it has a more "ikea" look and is super cheap with free prime shipping.

We have this one as Dc have the stokke chairs so it goes well (not that they're ever in the same room. LOL). The cons are the levels have nothing keeping them from sliding forward and backward. We tightened it as much as we could, just like our children's real chairs, but it seems not tight enough. So I took some earthquake puddy stuff and jammed it into the tracks to keep them in sturdier.

Else it's well-loved. Doubles nicely as a 'salon' chair for when the girls need their hair done as well.

ETA: If you're crafty I'm pretty sure the pads are removeable and you could make your own.

Dd loves it and it has held up fine for 2 years of solid toddler play. I bought it for my younger DD to replace a bitty baby one because you needed adult help to get the baby in the seat - you had to "fold" her to get her in and then she'd slide out of the seat if the tray was off. I specifically wanted one that had a bar in between the legs and that DD could take the baby in and out herself (ETA: I just realized it doesn't have a bar but the baby sits there fine without slipping , I guess because of the flip down tray
This works for a variety of size dolls - very small to the biggest we use is 16" I don't think her older sister's 18" dolls have been in the high chair but probabbly could. I like that the tray flips up - no loose parts.

This is the bitty baby high chair we have -the one they sell now has a pink toy tray and a lap belt. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-American-Girl-Bitty-Babys-High-Chair-Tray-Retired-/170679771064?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27bd4e9fb8

I'd go for the badger one - We got it ship site to store with Walmart. You do have to assemble it and it seems cheap as you do but it has really held up fine. They sell it lots of places.

Well...you can build one.:jammin: http://ana-white.com/2010/12/doll-high-chair

We have an amish made one. Solid as a rock. I'm sure you can get them lots of places that sell amish made stuff but here is a resource (they are less than $42)

I do have to agree to this, when I was putting DD's together I was very dissapointed with it and almost returned it. But once it was all together I really liked it and it has held up very well. We have had it 1.5 years now and it still looks and works great.
