Where can I find them? I will be in second/third trimester during boot wearing season. My normally large calves will be even larger :(. I would like to find some flat, comfy boots that I can wear with leggings and dresses. Can anyone help? I have never been able to find any in the stores. Thanks.

I have a pair. I think I ordered them from either Eddie Bauer or Lands End.

Try Zappos, that's where I found my new pair of boots (I have narrowish calves and needed a shorter narrower boot). It lets you search boots by all kinds of things like calf circumference, boot height, shoe size, width, price, color, etc. Hopefully you can find something you like. Plus it's free shipping and free return shipping. I ordered two sizes and kept the one that fit better.

I have no idea what style of boot you are looking for or what size, but here are a couple of examples:

Love the second one you linked, Goldenpig. Thanks.

Online. I have 2 pair of Fitzwells from 6 pm. Also, depending on the width of your calf, some reg sized boots run wide.

I found some at Nordstrom and Macy's last year, if you are looking to shop in person. I find that they have a decent selection. The ones I ended up getting actually have stretchy material on the entire back section, leather on the front. So they have a lot more give, but still fit snugly and look sleek. I believe they were Macy's Alfani brand, so not super expensive. I have the same problem every time I boot shop, its so frustrating.

The Frye Veronica Slouch boot is wide already and it also comes in a wide calf size. I know you can try on the regular calf size in Nordstrom.

:yeahthat: I have given up trying to find something that doesn't have at *least* a little bit of elastic at the top for my monster calves. It's literally taken me yrs to find boots to fit over my calves. I tried HUNDREDS of boots before finding anything decent. You HAVE to start shopping now. I find that if I wait until it is truly autumn season, that the boot selection drops drastically. I have found my wide calved boots (oddly, they were not labeled like this) at sears (Martino brand, I found this pr funny, b/c I bet the person who ordered them originally found the calves waaay too big and returned them, I ended up only paying 30%, b/c it was on clearance), jcpenny (sonoma brand) and TJ Maxx (Khombu).

Thanks for the replys. I will look into all those brands. Over the years, I have managed to find a handful of regular width boots that zip over my calves. I HATE, HATE boot shopping and have serious envy for those who don't have this problem. Would love to find a pair to wear with skinny jeans. Dare I dream...

I know the feeling....remarkably, I bought TWO pairs of boots last year and liked both. Here are the links:

Also, here's the grey Target boot that a lot of people talked about last year. It also was quite roomy at the calf, but I ended up returning it since I already had the other 2. Might think about it again for this fall....

I have a similar problem with boots and have had luck with a couple. I bought the Steve Madden 'Intyce' a few years ago and they are wide enough to still tuck jeans into and they're flat which is nice. And they're not too expensive, but they went up in price this year. I got 3 years out of mine, but that was pushing it.

I also LOVE my Frye Jane boots. They come in a wide calf version also, but I was able to fit in the regulars. I can get skinny jeans in there too, at least I could before I got pregnant. We'll see if it all still fits after this baby comes out next week. :)

Also, JCrew makes some of their styles in a wide calf.

I have those and they do fit my wider calves (tight w/jeans underneith though). Love them. The pic looks a little different, I hope they haven't changed b/c I'd like to get a brown pair this year. I thought last year the circumference was 15" (can't remember for sure). The pic you linked to says 14".

I saw them at Target today and tried them on. I do believe that the shaft width had gone down. I could *barely* get them zipped, and there's no way a pair of skinnies would fit underneith :(
They are of a more average width now, and it seems like the price went up about $5 too.

For an excellent selection of boots for wide calves, try www.duoboots.com

It's a UK company, but their shipping is extremely fast. My last order arrived in about a week.

They offer a tremendous variety and offer up to a 19.5" wide calf.

Very good quality and excellent customer service.

I have been wanting to order from Duo forever but I was worried about how much I would have to pay in customs fees. Besides the $20 shipping fee that Duo charges, did you have to pay any customs fees?

I didn't have to pay any additional fees. They shipped duty paid.

One nice thing: they refund the VAT when they ship, and it was almost as much as the shipping charge. So shipping was about $8, which is less than I pay for a Hanna order ;)
