Out of nowhere, my entire MASSIVE office building just started at a low rumble and then shook rather violently for about 45 seconds.

Everyone in my office is laughing. It scared the #!$@ out of me! oh.my.god. Was that an earthquake? :eek:

Felt it in NY, and have friends in Charlottesville who felt it, it was supposedly a 5.8!

Saw a friend of mine in upstate of SC post on his FB page that his house shook for about 15 seconds

Being a Californian, earthquakes are no laughing matter. It is scarry.

I was in the air when it happened and I think the planes computer went berzerk b/c the flight got really hard (we were about to land and banked a hard hard left literally feet off the ground). My friend hid under her desk while her co-workers ran out of the building. She used to live on the west coast and told some people not to run but to take cover.
