What else is there to do in Orlando other than Disney and Universal?

We will be there for a week in mid-December.

Sea World has always been a hit with my kids. The Orlando Science Museum is also fun for the kids (note: north of downtown, so not close to the resorts).

Wonderworks on I-Drive...great fun for kids of all ages.

If you have a car and are willing to spend the time, head out to Kennedy Space Center...it's about 1 hr east of Orlando and a straight shot to get there from Disney/Orlando.

As the PP mentioned, Legoland opens 10/15, so you can be one of the first to visit. This is a bummer for me because I enjoyed Cypress Gardesns (which closed in 2009). My parents have lived in the area since 1983 and I have many fond memories of visiting with various family...but now that I'm expecting twin boys, I imagine that Legoland will be more popular for them than Cypress Gardens was. :-)

Ok, I am super excited about Legoland! Kind of pricey for a budget traveller like myself, but we may have to splurge a little. Wonder if anyone will have discount tickets for it?
