Is there a way to use this without the timer, eg, to have it run continuously? We have the travel sleep sheep, if that matters.

Not that I know of. It's really annoying.
We got a regular white noise machine for DD1

no :( we use both the sleep sheep and a white noise machine that has a continuous setting.....I truly wish the Sleep Sheep had a continuous setting, but its longest mode is only 45 min.
