Good luck to you! I am due on Wednesday, but unfortunately this baby seems happy where she is.;)

I use this one: http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Blue-Brand-Weekender-Pack/dp/B000VPBIZA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1314645214&sr=8-3

It is big and kind of heavy, but it covers the bottom of DS1's lunchbox almost exactly and it is usually still partially frozen at the end of the day (and any food left in his lunchbox is still quite cold). And that is in spite of being on a shelf outside in Florida, although in a shaded hallway.

We've been using this:

Overall I like it. It does keep cold but the only problem is that it gets condensation. So I've been looking into another option. I just ordered the following:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032UXTDK
I bought 4 since it was buy 3 get 1 free. I am hoping that it will keep cold and at the same time not cause any condensation.

I'll update once I actually use it.

This one gets excellent reviews and is the kind I use in DS1's lunch. His lunch always stays cold.

I am going to try the mats too. It seems like a good option. Of course I have no idea what I am going to send DD for lunch, but that is another thread lol.

I have found that the hard-sided ice packs last longer than the flexible ones. I use ones that I get at the dollar store, that are smaller than the large one PP posted.

I have been usung these from Rubbermaid (http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Inc-Lunch-1002-Tl-220-Pack/dp/B0000DH4KC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1314673216&sr=8-4), but I want to get some of the Fit Fresh ones once they are back in stock. I have used the smaller Rubbermaid hard ones too.

YMMV, but those ones Annie linked to have not worked for me -- they don't keep my lunch cold until lunch, whereas the hard ones from the Dollar store stay cold until dinner.

We'll test it out tomorrow. Last time I used one in May or June DD1 didn't complain about her lunch being warm. What brand are the Dollar Store ones?

I've used 2 of these Igloo flat hard ice packs for DD2's lunch. They stay cold all day in her insulated lunch box (about 10 hours) in an a/c room. Lighter and slimmer than the big firm ice pack posted earlier. They are only a few bucks each at Target but DD1's lunchbox is narrow and flat so I can't fit one below and on top of her lunch in her bag. DD2's lunchbox was tall and narrow so I could layer the ice packs above and below her plastic container.

I can't remember. Labels are long gone!

ETA: I think they might have been this brand (http://www.amazon.com/Cryopak-Hard-Shell-Reusable-Solid/dp/B000QRAZES/ref=sr_1_71?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1314676782&sr=1-71). And I might have gotten them from Walmart? I do have dollar store ones, they definitely work until lunch, but some are better than others.
