View Full Version : BBB Mojo needed for the next month of big transitions for us

So, this might not seem that big to some of you, but in the next few weeks ds will be starting Kindergarten, dd will be starting 3rd grade at a school that is new to her (will be the same school as ds' kindergarten, but different from where she has been K-2nd), and I am starting a new job with more responsibiliites in an agency where this time of year is stressful, important, and full of changes anyway.

Dd is highly anxious, and doesnt do well with changes. Emotions and behavior are already escalating with her. Ds is highly adaptable, but he is starting Kindergarten for goodness sake! How am I going to help them both transition on the first day! It was not in my plans to have dd going to a new school when ds started Kindergarten! I feel really good about this change for the long run, but for now it is going to be a highly stressful balancing act!

Please send any mojo you can (because I know the BBB mojo works) for things to go well, for dd to see/feel the positives of this change, and for me to get through it all!

Mojo for all of you! Don't underestimate Ds's adaptability. My second one is like that & I am constantly amazed at how non fazed she is by things I expected to be huge deals. DD1 has me well-trained. ;)

Thank you so much everyone! Tonight was an open house for ds' Kindergarten. He loved it, and can't wait to go. That's not really a surprise; I was not really worried about him, just sad that I won't be able to see more of his transition because dd will be needing me...and I feel bad that she gets more of me than he does sometimes because she needs me more. Tomorrow is dd's open house type event. This will be one of the real tests. These things are very difficult for dd. So far the work transition is going well for me. The BBB mojo really does work, so keep it coming!
