Hi all-

We are headed on a 4 hour road trip for Labor Day, and I need some advice for some apps for our 2.5 year old for the car. By way of background, she is very adept at using the iPad and the iPhone (can turn it on, find her app, and play all by herself). We used to let her watch Curious George and Olivia, etc on our iPhones in the car, but it got out of control so we cold-turkeyed the phones about a month ago, and all is well. Our plan is to remove the video content from the iPad and then let her use it for games, puzzles, books, etc while we're on this long trip. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!!!

-Monkey Lunch Box
-any of the disney storybooks with puzzles (Nemo, Mickey Mouse, Pooh)
-there are lots of matching games - some free. We have a few with cupcakes and my daughter loves them
-There's a Handy Manny game (can't remember the name) that has a matching game, a game where you search for tools, puzzles and coloring
-dress-up games - there's a disney princess game, plus several free ones
-I hate Barbie, but we have a game where you can make a pizza, make a cupcake and groom/care for a dog
-Elmo's monster maker

Toca Tea Party!!! By far the favorite app of all the girls in our playgroup. The first time she played I think she was playing for more than 30 min. I use appshopper so most of ours were free, but Toca was totally worth the $$

Other favs for our 2.5 yo are:
Wimmel Fun fair (search & find)
Sticker Safari (matching)
Color Wall (Coloring)
SkyMatch (memory)
Kidsapp Farm (a little bit of everything)
