Washer with steam feature?

Our washer broke today and obviously we need a new one. We bought a LG front loader but got home and have been thinking about whether we should have gotten the one with the steam cleaning setting. Anyone have that? Pros? Cons? Input?

I love the steam feature of my washer. It works to get some seriously nasty stuff clean. DH's work clothes have road grime all over them and they come clean, it takes out stink, and it even got out an old stain on our mattress pad from when I had an accident at my favorite time of the month.

Pros: The steam feature works as advertised. That's all there is to it.
Cons: Additional features introduce additional points of possible failure.

Bottom line is that if cost is not an issue and owing to good customer support on the part of LG, the pros outweigh the cons.
