I just bought this, can I wear it with a skirt / dress? I saw online that it is a loafer, which means it is meant to be worn with pants?

I am fashion-challenged :-)

TIA

I think I'd wear that with pants.

I don't usually wear flats with skirts or dresses.

I wear flats with skirts and dresses as heels just aren't practical for my day to day life but I wear skirts and dresses regularly. But, those shoes would really depend on the skirt and dress. Give me some idea of what you are thinking about wearing with the shoes.

Beth, yeah, the reason that I don't wear skirts and dresses more is that I find heels uncomfortable, thus not practical for my day-to-day / travel life.

The skirts I am thinking of are Athleta's Whatever skorts, and I guess just some casual dresses (e.g. Soma's Cool Days dresses).

I think the reason I like those shoes is because it doesn't show "toe cleavage" like many ballet flats. I somewhat find that unflattering... at least for me.

Um ok ... well so I recant. I DO wear flats with the whatever skort and summer/casual dresses (I thought you meant more business dresses and suits with skirts). I wear just orthoheel sandals; keens; even "nice" converse sneakers :)

No, loafers plus that= not a good fashion choice. How about these? They run a bit big, iirc. Cute though with something like the Athleta!

Thanks Beth. I love the look of the shoes, but I am not fond of straps. In Asia they take off shoes upon entering houses, so in and out of shoes often... Any recommendation for non strap shoes? :-)

My feet is also difficult to fit, I wear 5.5 or 6, and often Wide.

What about Privos? Casual, comfy, sporty and you can get away with them with something like an Athleta skort if you get the right color (I'd go with more of a neutral than harsh like black)

Zappos has a ton more too.

I actually have those shoes. Love them. But not with skirts/dresses.

I have those shoes, too- in the bronze/brown color. I wear them with pants/jeans, but not with skirts.

So the consensus seems to be not wearing the Life Stride Diary with skirts / dresses :-)

I like it enough so I am keeping it.

Beth, I have to try out those Privos, they look comfy and cute. Thank you so much for your recommendation.
