My son just went from his crib to a twin bed. We used Ultimate Crib Sheet in his bed, loved it. He still has nighttime accidents, and the overnight diaper leaks more often than I'd like. I got some waterproof sheets at Ikea, but they soak right through. Are there any good, real waterproof pads for twin bed you can recommend?

Are you looking for a waterproof mattress pad that goes under the sheet or a pad that lays on top of the sheet? We have these waterproof pads on all the beds in our house and really like them:

Luna Premium Hypoallergenic Waterproof Mattress Protector

We have some we bought from Ikea that are mattress cover size. My kids always have managed to not be where a smaller pad was.

Those are the ones we got, but they soak right through, it seems. He still wears an overnight diaper, and it leaks on a regular basis.

I use the ultimate crib sheet turned sideways across DD1's twin mattress. It's still deep enough to cover wear her bottom is even if she flops around and wide enough to cover from side to side and tuck in.

ETA: I do put it on top of the sheet, but it's so easy to change if wet in the middle of the night and it's small enough to put in a regular load of wash and not take up a whole load itself the way a mattress pad does.

Six years ago I bought this one for my son's twin bed and it worked great for him and then for DS2: http://www.thecompanystore.com/Ultimate-Flannel-Waterproof-Mattress-Protector/MA40,default,pd.html?dwvar_MA40_color=WHITE&start=4&q=waterproof%20pad

I paid less than that, though--I think I paid around $35 with a sale and coupon.

We are using waterproof mattress pads from target. We wash them w the sheet when they get wet. Unfortunately this has been almost every morning lately, but the mattress has stayed dry.

We layer, just because we have the stuff.... waterproof mattress pad from Kohl's (don't see the same one right now- puffier, about $30 before sales), sheet, Ultimate Crib sheet sideways, sheet. Then everything peels off as needed.

We bought a waterproof mattress pad from Land's End. Awesome! With a coupon/discount, it was about $30 for a twin. Very heavy duty- have been using since march with no leaks!

I have this one too--love that it was made in the USA. And it's a good product as well.

We have this one too on DS1's bed and it's good, but I think I still prefer the Luna ones which is why we now have 3 of them.

Had the Luna, ditched it in favor of the Naturepedic offering. Vinyl, PVC and latex free.
