Well, after looking at the price of the Vista travel price and the fact that it will get thrown around, I decided I will buy another stroller for travel, one that I can check at the gate. DH agreed under the condition that it should be cheaper than the travel bag (~90 bucks). I was thinking about either a Chicco Ct 0.6 or a Jeep Cherokee Sport. I like that the Chicco has its own travel bag and I like the color. I like the jeep folding, since I may have to travel with DS on my own sometimes and a one hand fold will be appreciated while going through airport security, and the fact that has trays. Anyone has either of them? Any other recommendations?
please help me decide!

How old is your DC? I would go with the Mac Starck, if your child is over 1 yr. old, because it doesn't have a recline. It's $65 shipped and comes with a travel bag and rain cover. http://search.albeebaby.com/mod_search/?formSubmitted=true&vwcatalog=albee-baby&query=maclaren+starck
If you need the recline, I would get the Britax Blink for $10 more.

Can I be a pain and how great the Blink is? How does it compare to the Maclaren Quest (which is what I'm thinking of getting for a car stroller).

DS is 7 months, we want this for the holiday travel. I do want a recline, and a one hand fold if possible. The Jeep Cherokee is 49.50 at walmart

Is to too good to be true?

I'm not a fan of the jeep strollers. I would much rather spend a little more and get something that I can use a bit more. What about a Triumph? I bet you could find a good deal and then you can use the Triumph for quick in and outs of the car as well. The Vista is kind of heavy and bulky for lots of folding and unfolding IMO.

ETA - If you check your CL, I bet you could find plenty of used Macs that are in your price range.

I have the Blink. Got it for our trip to Sesame Place. Comes with a travel bag. Great padding, good handle height, ok basket size for an umbrella, decent push, stiff but pretty easy fold. It's actually are daily go to stroller now. I bought a $15 sunshine kids "caddy" for the handles to hold some mommy/daddy items and a sippy or two. Both DD1 (4yo) and DD2 (21mo) fight over who gets to ride in it. It really is a great value for a full feature umbrella.

I'm not a fan of the jeep strollers either. The Britax Blink would be a good option for you. Search past threads on it and you will get some good feedback on it.

The Blink on Albee baby looks really good
Can you fold it with one hand?

All the Macs are more money than I can afford. The Vista was plenty of a Splurge already (and I love it, but it is not good for the airport at all)

Actually the Blink has been recalled:

this sort of scares me

It looks like it is only ones manufactured between 5/09 and 9/09.

The picture on the recall site is identical to the one sale at Albee baby, even the part that is circled as the hazard, maybe that's why it's on sale?
I couldn't tell which year it is from the Albee baby site
I really like the stroller, but I am not sure now!

If it is the same model, I think albee would provide a hinge cover. Maybe someone who's ordered it from them can comment on that.
Pre-2010 Maclarens were recalled for the exact same thing- the hinges could cut a finger if your child happened to stick theirs in while you were foldng the stroller. Now the older Maclarens include fabric hinge covers (the 2009 Cybexes did also-- a lot of umbrella strollers used to be made with these types of hinges).
No accidents were ever reported regarding the Blink-- Britax just recalled them as a safety precaution after the Mac brouhaha.

I just bought the Blink from Albee and they do provide the hinge covers to comply with the recall.

That is great to hear! I am almost sold on the Blink
It says it is 18 pounds, is that true? Isn't that heavy for an umbrella stroller?

StrollerQueen said it was 16.5 lbs in her review, so I would go by that.

That's about the same as the BJCM and the Cybex Onyx. Kind of the heavy side for an umbrella, but I imagine the weight makes it less tippy than a lighter stroller.

I've had the Blink for a couple of weeks and love it so far. I specifically bought it to take it on a cruise with us. Got it from albee, came with travel bag and hinge covers. Best deal ever. It's definitely heavier than Macs, but I think you get a less tippy, sturdier stroller with the extra weight.

Go for the Stark! It's the perfect travel stroller. I know it doesn't recline but the price is great and comes with the travel bag. It's light and not tippy. You can see my 7 month old in a Stark on this thread (http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=406545&highlight=Stark+Volo). She was very comfortable!
